In principle, the concept of plagiarism has no specific content. Sometimes, in some cases, it is impossible to separate plagiarism from similar concepts, such as imitation, borrowing, co-authorship and other similar cases of similarity of works.
The most frequent expressions of plagiarism are publications. Often, under his own name, works of strangers, their ideas or fragments of others’ works are published, without mentioning the source of borrowing, which is plagiarism. In such cases, attribution of authorship is manifested, which is a mandatory sign of plagiarism.
In some cases, the misuse, publication, copying of copyrighted works is not plagiarism, but another type of copyright infringement, called piracy. If the results of intellectual work are misused and the authorship of the authorship is appropriated, piracy becomes plagiarism.
